Our Team

“ We are “these and those kids”. Yes, those kids whose single mothers at some point in her life worked two or three jobs to keep her family afloat. So she couldn’t afford to attend every Open House. Those kids had everything they “needed”, but didn’t always know how to ask for or navigate those needs, as our neighborhoods and resources didn’t offer a variety of models. We are those kids whose West Indian heritage called for books over friends. Those kids who had free or reduced lunch in school and ate with pride at the lunch table. Yeah, we are those kids who attended schools in some of the toughest most improvised neighborhoods while working our first job and often struggling to maintain a good GPA.

With love and support from our home, school, and community, we turned out to be those kids that rose above adversity. Those kids who never gave up. Those kids who aspired to be more. Those kids who worked hard to give back to their community. Those kids who school-based people like you touched.

Today - We are those kids driven by the passion and purpose to give back to schools, students, and professional learning communities. We are those kids who passionately work at being antiracist and helping others achieve that goal. Allow us to use our gifts, talents, skills, knowledge, and lived experiences to extend seamless supports to you and your community.

Those kids in the pictures, that’s us. We are proud of our past and where we came from. Please read our bios to find out more about us.
